How might we overcome our ignorance about the differences between equity and equality?
#UniteEquityMuse to launch #EquityMoonshot. Open-inspire-align our mindsets to co-design and cultivate an equitable-regenerative-sustainable-future to benefit all
The Equity Moonshot (as defined above) is a virtuous campaign, ethical cause, moral challenge and noble quest. This movement is for soul-based, hearted-centered, mindful change agents, thought leaders and leaders, who have both the courage and vulnerability to confront the harsh realities about our complicities in our dystopian trajectory.
We hurtling forward toward the adverse effects of global warming on our climate instabilities, planetary demise, environmental degradation, biodiversity implosions, and many other “wicked” problems.
Why do we fail to see that the enemy is us.
How might we overcome our blindness pandemic about what causes our complex web of mostly self-inflicted wicked problems in the 21st century?
Wicked problems are complex in that they have no single, simple nor final solution: nor either-or answers. Wicked problems are not per se solvable, such as our ego-centric shadows and the dark sides of human nature related to the abuse of power . Within complex adaptive systems, there are a wide range of positive and negative influences that prevent, minimize or exacerbate the political abuse of power and corruption. There are no ends to wicked problems.
The Equity Muse Learning Academy is about training equity leaders, trainers, muses and learning designers that enable people to learn how to redress the negative systemic influences that set up and perpetuate our wicked problems.
To change our trajectory, this Academy unites catalytic change agents to cultivate the mycelium networks needed to launch EquityMoonshot: open, inspire and align our mindsets to co-design and build an equitable, regenerative and sustainable future for the benefit of all. This is a never-ending learning journey of exploration, discovery and progress.
As equity muses, we inspire people to embark on lifelong intergenerational learning journeys of inquiry, imagination, improvisation and innovation on how to serve the greater good. As Socratic Sherpas, we ask people big hairy audacious questions (BHAQs) about how to work on Equity Moonshot quest.
How might we cultivate mycelia networks of catalytic change agents to build living story movements about how to co-create a free-fair-flourishing-future?
BHAQs open our minds to new ways of experiencing slow thinking and co-creating generative dialogues to work on this quest. BHAQs stretch our curiosity to go beyond the limits of our current understandings and co-create new insights about how to solve wicked problems.
The Academy's mission is to build learning communities of equity muse trainers. Equity muses guide people through the process of exploring the meaning of key words and phrases in BHAQs, such as defining the meaning for equity.
Equity is about giving each person, according to their individual needs, the opportunities to strive and thrive to their highest potential of healthy well-being. Equity involves enabling people to cultivate the virtues needed to launch Equity Moonshot.
Equity muses enable people to develop shared understandings about what BHAQs mean before answering them. This sets the stage to co-create generative dialogues and transformational collaborations needed to respond to these BHAGs.
How might we, equity muses and leaders, set up lifelong intergenerational learning processes about how to:
Launch Equity Moonshot?
Co-develop equity governance based on fair rules, fair plays, fair games and fair opportunities for all?
Solve our complex web of wicked problems?
How might we, as people from all walks of life:
Seek and verify truth with open transparent accountability to ensure that equity governance redresses the unfairness of systemic isms that drive global inequities and planetary demise?
Cultivate the network power to amplify our virtuous action needed to work on the quest for greater equity?
Just pick one BHAQ that speaks to you. Explore the meaning and purpose of one BHAQ to its depth. Contemplate and discuss the meaning of the BHAQ before engaging in generative dialogues within learning communities.
