How might we, as equity leaders, mentors, muses, and learning designers, build story movements to redress escalating inequities and cultivate a healthy planet?
How might we align our political-private-public sectors to launch Equity Moonshot?
Equity is about ensuring that each of us, according to our particular needs, has fair opportunities to strive and thrive to our highest potential of healthy well-being.
How might we implement the simple rule of equity meta-governance? Be fair and kind to all people, the planet, the environment, nature, biodiversity, animals, the soil, and plants?
So simple to say, yet so hard to do, given ego-centric drives for power, greed, money and control over others. along with the exploitative impulses of competitive advantagism without integrity.
How might we, the people, tell stories to
Overcome the hegemony of ego-centric mindsets of “us versus them” that dominates over the community mindsets of “us and them together”?
Enable our civic responsibilities to ensure that “What’s in it for us and our communities” prevails over “What’s in it for me and my tribe”?
Our self-centered amoral shadows and the dark sides of our immoral mindsets are our original sins against humanity and the planet.
How might we illuminate our ego-shadows to:
Overcome our blindness to our BIPID issues (biases, isms, prejudices, inequities, and discriminations)?
Zoom out to take holistic perspectives about our complex entanglement of, of self-wicked problems in the 21st century,
Heal our atomized humanity and regenerate Mother Earth?
Our leadership-academic-educational-religious-political institutions are woefully inadequate in transforming our mindsets perspectives.
How might our learning institutions, enable us to zoom out from our short-termism of self-centeredness to the long-termism of community altruism?
The Equity Moonshot quest is about co-designing and building an equitable, regenerative, and sustainable future on a healthy planet. The purpose of this mission is to inspire and visualize how to embark on lifelong intergenerational learning journeys of cultivating the virtues for working on this transformational quest.
Equity is about how we co-create enabling systems to give each person, according to their particular needs, fair opportunities to strive and thrive to their highest potential of healthy well-being.
The civic virtues of equity and equality are the moral guide for weaving collaborative networks of learning communities together needed to put ethical guard rails on the ego-centric values of liberty and freedom.
How might we, as equity muse trainers, leaders, and learning designers, empower and mobilize people to:
Shift our mindsets beyond our ego-centric “i” and tribal “we” mindsets to the transcendent “I” and global “WE” mindsets?
Ethically shine the moral lights of virtues and illuminate the shadow and dark sides of our inhumanities that perpetrate and perpetuate our wicked problems?
Do good for the commons, humanity, the common good and the health of the planet?
Advocate for ethical, cultural, political, institutional, and organizational transformations needed to cultivate lifelong intergenerational learning communities to build launching pads for #EquityMoonshot?
Build equity story movements to redress systemic isms, escalating inequities, and planetary demise?
Use the Equity Moonshot Guide
Equity muses use this guide to scale up the ethical transformations of mindsets needed to re-design our systems for equity.
How might WE all embark on lifelong intergenerational learning journeys together to implement the Equity Moonshot guide?
This guide enables us to embark on our collaborative learning journeys and work on the questions below,
Explore what these questions mean to you with kindred spirits and especially with people who have different political opinions.
How might we use the questions (above) to have healthy disagreements with cultural humility and use our creative tensions about our differences to co-design ethical, political, and social innovations for the greater good?
These questions are used in Zoom calls for small group discussions in sets of 3 people. These learning experiences provide an introductory overview of how we use multi-polarity stewardship strategies to cultivate equity meta-governance.
Equity meta-governance is a 21st-century global initiative for building story movements that align the political-private-public sectors to co-design a fair-free-flourishing-future to benefit all, on a healthy planet guided by regenerative and sustainability practices.

Zoom out from reductionism to solve wicked problems
Equity Moonshot is a metaphorical call to using ontological, human-centered design, systems, and complexity thinking, informed by integrating indigenous wisdom grounded in a deep of understanding nature along with the ethical use of technology.
Equity Moonshot is an antidote to rigid, reductionist, either-or thinking: I'm right, you're wrong, or I'm good, you're evil. Self-righteous fundamentalism divides us. We fail to embrace the interdependencies of our interconnectedness.
Equity enables us to co-create the middle ground of cooperation, collaboration, compromise, and consensus-building. This sacred ground of our shared humanity avoids the fundamentalist toxicities of dysfunctional polarizations. These polarizations amplify conflicts, neo-terrorism, terrorism, and wars. Neo-terrorism is the weaponized war of words with sociopathic disregard for integrity, truth, and transparent accountability.
Virtues align us. Values divide us.
To counteract dysfunctional polarizations, equity is about creating the middle ground where our virtues align us despite our different priorities in values structure.
How might our corporations, institutions, organizations, and communities move beyond our fragmented and mal-aligned values propositions to integrated systems of virtue propositions to build the #EquityMoonshot story movement?
The ethical, political, and social responsibilities of enacting equity pre-empt the need for social justice because prevention is better than cure.
How might we do the right thing and do things right in the first place?
Social justice rights the wrong-doings of isms and inequities.
How might we make amends for not doing the right thing?
Everyone has a story to tell about the unfairness of isms and inequities. Let everyone give voice to, and share their own personal and professional stories about inequities.
How might we, as equity muses, mobilize people and their leaders to journal, write, tell, share, and reflect about personal-professional histories and stories that explore the relationships between redressing the unfairness of inequities and promoting the fairness of equity?
Let's unleash the spirit and power of equity story movements. An equity story movement gives emotional energy to attract and mobilize people to work on some aspect of the equity moonshot project. Only together can we right our wrongdoings.
I have been asked many times about why I deeply care about equity. The unrecognized heroine of my story is my mother. She was an extraordinary, ordinary mother.
Here is the impact story of my mother. What is your story about (in)equity? Who is the hero(ine) of your story?
